GRS or ALTA Intercooler ?

I want to change my intercooler. I am not sure which one is the best ALTA or GRS IC, there is also dyno graph for GRS IC that show IC performance

Before I decided to buy GP intercooler but I couldn't find one. Can NAM members tell me which one is the best. And these are also sites about the IC http://store.webbmotorsports.com/for...opic.php?t=229 & http://store.webbmotorsports.com/for...&highlight=grs

I would go with the GRS over the Alta. I recently had the opportunity to examine a GRS up close.

These are the things I loved about it.

-Build and construction. The thing is a work of art, very well built
-Larger cooling area over stock
-End tank design
-Air turbulator design. This I liked, the rows were aligned to allow better flow

I had the Alta top mount and liked it. It did have a bit more of a pressure drop than the DFIC I have now. If I had to do the intercooler over again I think the GRS would be my first choice

That write up Randy did on it was pretty good

Which Alta IC are you talking about, classic or 2.0? The GRS looks very similar to the Alta classic in size. I liked the mid to top end power when I ran the Alta classic but the combination of the 2002 gearbox and the big alta IC made my car sluggish off the line and less drivable.

I mailed Jan about changing the intercooler, he told me stay with the stock or GP intercooler for my modification.
