alta cat back

ok maybe its my stiffer shocks(koni yellow) or the roads that i drive on but the alta cat back makes this clanking noise every time i hit a bump. at first i thought that i had not cut enough of the bottom plate so i re cut it. that helped but i haven't figured out a way to eliminate the noise. i thought of putting a pice of rubber molding to the edge of the plate where i cut it and covering it with aluminum tape to protect it from the heat. but i don't know if its going to work. if anyone has any tips on how to resolve this please contact me. thanks.

Sounds like you either have a heat shield too close to the pipe someplace or check the funnel adapter at the front. If that is loose, the system can bounce up and down and that joint moves in and out.

Let me know if you still can't find it!

what plate did you cut ? I just installed the full turbo-back (including the cat-back) and everything fit pretty smoothly without modifying a thing. the resonator comes close to a plate that's bolted across the underside of the exhaust tunnel, but I didn't see a need to cut into it.
do you maybe have the resonator/mid-pipe upside down, eg. roll it over 180
I found it sits really close to the heatshields, the resonator's much bigger than stock.

Cutting the center support brace is only necessary if you want to pull the system end (tips). You can't get that clearance by just dropping it down. But when you add the DP, you don't get the option.

If that makes sense great. If not let me know!
