UPDATE:
For those interested in this exhaust or who have them on order I just found out two updates!!!
1. I spoke to Bavarian Autosport and they stated that the shipment is just waiting to clear customs. The latest the guy I spoke to stated they could have them was the 15th, crossing my fingers!!!
2. Most inportant, THEY ARE ON SALE!! $494.95
I called and recieved the difference back from the original price!! This makes this great exhaust that much more afordable!!
I can't wait to get this thing, it seems like forever I've been waiting. I was hopping it wasn't going to take as long as my mini.

I wait more then 2 months
I ordered one back to end of April and everytime I called they told will be arrive this shipment which is end of the month 30th. I just called them today and they said will be next shipment (end of July). July 15 or end of July? Not sure by end of July, they will say is coming next shipment which another month. I am not sure I should cancel the order or not, more then 2 months already.
Me too, I've waited that amount of time as well. The only good news I can see is that they claim to have them in dock waiting to clear customs, thats different then the story of them still being on order. I'm going to continue to hold out and see.
Forget what I said yesterday! They GOT THEM IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got off the phone with Bavarian Autosport and my order will go out today, in my HANDS about Tuesday!!!!! SWEEETTT!!!
For those interested they recieved 15, 6 were back ordered. They have 9 for any one else interested.

Any of the new Scorpion buyers,
Be sure to make a trip to your local hardware store and buy the longer Stainless bolts and nuts for the connections at the header, makes it a little easier install. Little things make a big difference installing any exhaust system. I even got stainless lock washers to go with the nuts just so when it was all said and done I wouldn't have to go under the car again.
I still love mine after 3 months of ownership.

I just came back from Lowes home improvement store looking for longer SS bolts. The price for metric was twice that of std english hardware! I plan on using 3/8" x 1.5" SS bolts which is 9.52mm x 38.1mm at much less cost than the metric versions. Hopefully this will help others save some cash.

UPDATE (Again)
I finally received it, showed up at my door a day early!!!
Now for the update. Playmini/Scorpion have done one better with the hardware, no more worrying about if your car has a "new" style exhaust hanger or the "previous" Styles, they include both hanger styles in the hardware!! kinda cool and a good idea if you ask me. What I mean by this is how the previous exhaust came with the hangers already welded in place. The only way someone could deal with their hanger not being right for their car was to cut it off and re-weld the thing in the right place (direction of the inner hanger parallel or 90 degrees). Well now, you get a bag of goodies that includes both! The inner hangers are not welded to the exhaust anymore, they are bolted on and you choose the style hanger you have to a welded attachment on the inner side of the exhaust and that's it!!
The rest of the install is the same!! I'm sure a couple of future Scorpion exhaust owners are breathing a bit easier, I know I am; I didn't want to have to deal with going through the hassle of paying someone to cut and re-weld the hanger. It might not seem that big of a deal but it makes DIYer's a lot happier.
I called Bavarian Autosport to ask about the hanger issue and they didn't have any answers at the time (a month back). The guy I spoke to just said they had a product number split or at least something to that effect. Basically something in their computers showing something would be different with this new batch but they had no idea what it would be.
The other thing interesting is that someone previously mentioned buying new bolts because the bolts weren't SS(Stainless Steel). The bag I received seems to have all the right size hardware plus it doesn't look cheap, clamps and bolts look SS to me?!
Well, I'm just starting this job so I'll post any anomalies tomorrow. For now the setup is complete and all SEEMS right to start this job…….
I’ll keep you posted

Gosh darn it, you all just cost me a bunch of money. I stopped by this thread just to see what it was, and ended up ordering the Scorpion Exhaust 5 minutes ago. The last post about it having the new style hangers for my (04/04 build), caused me to pick up the phone. I'm taking your alls word for it. Been researching all the others for weeks, just heard about this one an pulled the plug. I figure, I'm a scorpio, so why not have a scorpion exhaust.
Stainless for sale price under $500, that's darn good. Hope it's a darn good exhaust. Cheers.
Ordering process was smooth, let's see what I get.

Well, I got my new Scorpion exhaust installed last week and am very happy with the results. I picked this one based on the tip styling, sound and reasonable cost compared to other brands. The install took about 2 hrs without any big problems. I have a 2002 MCS so I can't comment on the fit of the new hangers but am impressed that they are the only company that has addressed the 2004 hanger change. It seems to rev up easier above 4000 rpm's and the sound is quiet unless your on the throttle hard. This is just what I wanted. All in all a good mod.
Sanddan,
Did the other style of hanger also come with your exhaust kit? I know you didn't need the new style, but my Scorpion should be here tomorrow, and I'm trying to verify that they include the optional hangers for the recent 04's as previously mentioned.
Thanks.

Yes, both hangers are included. They added a mount plate with 2 tapped holes to each muffler and the inner mounts bolt on. All the hardware was stainless except for the two bolts at the cat end of the main tube. I changed these to SS hardware. At least the bolts they provided were the correct length. Also an added tip, to line up the exh tips I used 3 washers between the mont plates and a longer bolt. You could also bend the mounts until they line up but adding washers was a lot easer. Good luck with the install.

Thanks for the response and the tip.
Where you added the three washers, it that at the point where the two tips connect with one another? I haven't received mine yet, but from the pictures I had been wondering how to get the tips lined up if the brackets were mounted at the same point on both tips (seems like one would have to be a hair higher than the other with that design). And, I figured that was why folks were having troubles with perfect alignment. Without knowing or seeing on in person, I would have assumed that washers between those two brackets would have thrown the alignment off even more. Maybe I'm thinking about the wrong part.
Thanks.

LtlLnor,
Yes the washers go between the brackets. You may need less or more depending on how they were mounted. The brackets on mine were not straight and bending them might have worked to get the tips even but adding the washers was an easy way to adjust them.
mcs22004,
Yes I am cheap! I did use SS bolts that I had in my all purpose bolt box from another project. They are different lengths but it works. My goal is to build my car while spending my money wisely. So far I've done all my own labor, even making my own CAI rather than buying one to save money and it's also fun to do it yourself.
Yuri,
I kept the heat shield for the battery but did have to trim the edge closest to the tips. You could also bend the heat shield for clearance.

You'd think that the Scorpion could have come with bolts that were long enough.
MCS22004,
I checked it out on the M7 site. It lookes like expanded metal mesh which you can get at the local builders supply or metal supply store. I might do something like that in aluminum (for the silver look). I bet it can be done for less than $30 in materials. I have a friend with a Tig welder if brackets are needed. This looks like a good Sat. project. Thanks for the idea.
Also, the key is to make it look like it was expensive without spending a lot of money. This usually means more labor but hobby time is free. It's all fun.

i got mine installed today and not to say that it is a bad system (this should be the norm for mini exhaust interms of price) i gotta say im not ENTIRELY happy with it...
i've heard only the miltek in person and compared to the scorpion i am a tad disappointed with the loudness of the sound.. the sound's not too bad.. and i love the way it crackles and pops when i let go of the throttle.. but crusing along at 70km/h in the city got me some minor drone... maybe it's the norm for the aftermarket exhaust but i would've love it to trade in the throatyness for a slightly quieter city drive
but the fit and finish is where it made up... it fitted perfectly (i had some issues with the y, but it took some creative moving to make sure it's sealed...
overall... a good system, a very good system for the price when compared to some of the other systems out there... but if you are into numbers or a better sound.. there are better alternatives for more money, your call
