I just received a tune from Jan. He's nice and very professional. You guys/gals will be in good hands.

 

Clutch ordered. Quaife on its way. Working extra hours for the tune.

That would be me. My MINI has the flash, but still needs the tune. Not to hijack the tuning party but at some point, Jan said he will tune my car when he visits New Braunfels. Please keep me posted as to the date........

Unfortunately the guys at the New Braunfels shop have not shown any interest in holding the event.
I contact the Houston shop again to try to renegociate rates and I am still trying to talk them down..they wanted $ 200.00 per hr of Dyno time. I will call them again tomorrow to see what is the final rate.
If the rates are to high the other option would have to be to run the event in Dallas

 

Thanks for following-up. Well, Dallas sux but if our only option then I guess it is acceptable. The alternative would be NO tune and that is certainly not acceptable.

Houston shop has "lowered" their pricing to $195.00 per dyno/hour time. Keep in mind that the average is $150.00 per hour.

The other issue is that a 7 car event is not that appealing for Jan as he is currently holding 20 car events. So he has suggested to hold the event in Dallas as he might consolidate our group with others.

Pls PM to let me know how many of you would be willing to go to Dallas. And if that wouldn't work we might have to wait to get bigger numbers (more participants) or wait until Jan is less busy...not sure when is that going to happen.

Jan will be in Dallas Oct 17 - 18 and I can get a few more people in + on Sunday some of us will be attending a BMW-CCA HPDE and there are some slots open for a one day there as well.
