May I ask why you don't want the Detroit Tuned stop? I haven't had any problems with mine, and for $20, how can you go wrong?

Thank God I've never had my belt snap and have to rely on the DT stopper. I just was wondering if you were worried whether or not it was okay. The build quality is great, so no worries there. I guess I won't know if it works until the belt goes. But the extra security is there. :-)

Hard to say if it works well until the s**t hits the fan and your belt or tensioner breaks

The DT stopper is the best bet. The other stoppers are a piece of metal that really rattles bad.

I think the minspeed/gttuning products have their place, but for the everyday user, the DT is the better bet.

I've ruined two tentioners. Now on my third and it has a DT stop on. I haven't snapped a belt yet this season to see how it works.

I have broken 2 of the DT stoppers ..
The cable may be able to hold "lots of weight" but it flexes ... the cable then breaks.
Now have the straight bar style and have not had any issues (although you can here it rattle sometimes)

Yep, if you're racing you're car, the bar type is obviously the best style
