Drivetrain RMW tune results!!!!
final numbers during the Helix tunes this week and last.....238hp and 208tq. We didn't get to do a baseline as the head went on before Jan arrived. The first pull was 223hp, with the rest coming through tuning over two days. The final curve is actually smoother than this plot, which has a dip up top.
I still have a front O2 issue to work out, so we'll be doing some more tweaking once I get it fixed (it's throwing codes, probably due to how another shop extended it - I sent Jan the new one and he's doing the work for me and sending it to me to swap in).

Just got back from Jan tuning the car..
06 r53 with 47k. only mods are 16%pulley and Cold air intake.
Base run.
166.4 tq
178.4 hp
After an hour of tunning.
172.3tq
192.1 hp
Its a bit low from what I was hoping, but at least I know now that the a/f ratio is right. The car drives great and even the bit of power I got feels huge.

I just finished reading the Bimmer Lite (MINI) column in the February, 2008 issue of Roundel, the official magazine of the BMW Car Club of America. The article recommends the Dimsport software as an effective way to get the MINI to perform optimally with any modifications:
"The bottom line is that the only way to get a Mini to perform optimally with any modifications, the ECU needs to be custom-tuned. One effective way to do that is with Dimsport software: Find an outfit with it, set up an appointment, and they'll cook up an ECU tuned specifically for your application."
Jan, at Revolution Mini Works, tuned my car with the Dimsport software in December. The tune increased the TQ, HP, driveability and got rid of that annoying 3,000 rpm flat spot.

^^ That is really nice. I am a bit dissapointed for my low tq results. I was hoping to brake the 180mark so was Jan. We thought it had to do something with the brake in period and how I was really hard on it. Also , dosent the mustand read a bit higher ? If so , then I should pretty much have the same numbers as you. Eh , who cares about #ers if the car has gotten really faster.

Bwaahaaa. I'm going to make a 'heartbreaker' sign for the dyno room.

The first one is on MachV's dyno in November, No injectors. I know, comparing different dynos isn't an apples to apple thing but I'm gonna post it anyway just for reference.
Best @ 167.8hp (6200rpm) 152.03ft/lbs - 71 degrees

After installing the 380s and an oil change my base pull looks to be about a max hp of 183 (6000rpm).
After the tune I'm still maxing at about 183hp but the chart will show that I am making more hp through out the whole range up until the 183 mark then it just doesn't want to give anymore. But what counts for me is my torque is now up to 186 ft/lbs and it seems like a nice curve

Helix... how is your dyno calibrated? I'm curious to see how it compares to our (CBRD's) dyno. My 06 S stock put down like 146whp.... with a 15%, Borla race catback, and K7N typhoon intake, it made 177. Ours is calibrated from Mustang and reads quite low... I may have to make a trip up there just to see how it compares. Also, any idea when Jan may be making a return trip?
Thanks!
Oh, and yes, Mustang Dyno's are "heartbreakers" but they really do read a true wheel horsepower... For reference... an 06 M5 (V10) made something like 370whp on our dyno and they're rated at 500 at the crank.
Thanks!

The SpiderX had the M62 taken off and replaced with a new M45 w 15%.... the baseline for the 62 was 225 @ 6800
After Jan's tune 231.5 @ 7200 w TQ was down some (I am at the beach and going from memory)
the M45 with Jan's tune was about the same as the 62 at 6800......
all things considered the car is much happier, smoother and more fun to drive......
My car is currently for sale and if I don't get my number I will add the 440s and tune into the 240s.......
Remember when Helix offered free dynos to those who broke 200 whp.... that is before Jan
