Bat,

Does this kit from Outmotoring.com have all I need to do both upper and lower mounts?
I emailed them a while back but got no response.

if you're not getting a response from them before you buy a product i'd look somewhere else.

p.s. I used the IE mounts. upper, lower and trannie and they were cheaper than these.

I finally got a response. I believe Aaron or I had an email problem. And that kit is for the first engine mount version.

I was unaware the IE had any mount kits. Will have to check them out.

Those are the right ones. The bushings are the same for the lower and upper motor mounts. I got mine from Moss though and they sell all four separately.

Got one!

I just installed my VIP Custom engine stabilizer, and it was REALLY EASY to install. Like, as easy as my m7 strut tower brace. No cutting, drilling or removing of any parts; all BOLT-ON! (Although, I hear on 2005 and 2006 MCS's, that there is some more work that needs to be done for installation. Us pre-05 owners have it easier).

It is noticeable, especially when you drop the hammer abruptly, or when shifting hard. There is more immediate throttle response.

Is the change really significant? Well, I would say not really. It isn't really a necessary mod for just a daily driver or street car, but for 99 bucks, it's still cool.

It is extremely beefy, and seemingly overengineered. I was impressed with build quality and fit & finish. They did their homework.

Can anyone point out where the tranny mount bushing is located?

And how hard is it to change out this one?

I believe the tranny mount/gearbox bushing is on the driver's side on the bottom of the large steel arm that comes up. It's in another thread, I'll find it.

Does this bushing replacement do as much good as the other 2 do?

Nevermind..........read the whole post link to above.

Can't believe I missed that thread before.

Looks like I will go for the upper and lower engine bushings and forgo the tranny one for now.

^^Yeah, the upper and lower will be easier to install, so trying that 1st is definitely the way to go. Then if you want more, there's always the tranny bushings.
