Codes P1498 and P1125

I have been experiencing some codes getting trown, EML light coming on, sometimes both the SES and EML, once going into limp mode.

The first code i pulled is 1498, the second is 1125. the only recent major modification is a BBK...

infact last night on the way home, The EML went of during "heavy braking"

once a couple weeks back, the EML, SES, and limp mode, all occurred at start up. the dealer could not find anything... and they had no idea what the 1498 was?

Any words of wisdome from you all??
Thanks,

Fault code 1498 is Unmetered air after compressor. The cause is a vacuum leak.

with the car at idle i was unable to find any vaccume leak just using cigar smoke in my garrage to look for it.

any thoughts on how these two codes my be related... the 1125 being throttle position sensor of some sort?

I had the code P1498 about a year ago. Do a search under p1498 and you will find what was wrong with my car and the part number that fixed it. Is your a 6 speed or automatic. Then i did a smoke test on mine the leak did not show up, it only happened when i was driving. I dont think the smoke test has high enough pressure.

There is a TSB on p1498 its to replace the tube that goes from the back of the SC to the TB. But I have found in the past that its a Boost leak so the smoke test will not work. remove the IC and check over the boots really good a small hole will set this code

How does the 1125 throttle position sensor fit into that? I just don't get it

on the surface the IC boots looked good.

I'm telling you it's the pipe between the s/c and t/b. There's a plastic weld that leaks, but only under pressure. Mine ended up leaking so bad that it went into limp mode 7 time trying to get it to the shop that was only 20 miles away. We could'nt see the leak but since we've replaced that pipe it's never happened again.

well at the end of the day... after replacing the part mentioned above the car was still throwing codes and running really rough... turns out i had a cracked intercooler... Really badly cracked too... this was prolly caused by accident i had last Jan... insurance is covering the part so i'm getting a bigger intercooler...
