Very cool! I wonder how it compares to the ALTA unit... Especially with it being over 100 bucks cheaper. I'm definitely getting an FMIC installed come Spring so it's always good to have options.

I sent them an e-mail around 4 so we'll see when I get a response. I might give them a call Wed. They are located in Orlando,Florida along with their UK HQ so we'll see.

I keep forgetting to call. I'll call I swear. I've been busy with my family. I'm 1 out of 32 cousins, just on my dads side of the family.

From what I have gathered through my extremely intensive, intellectual Google search on intercoolers, most different intercoolers will give you comparable performance as long as they are similar in size. With that said (if it's true), as long as there are no fitment iissues, I would assume that these would both be within a few HP of each other performance-wise. If that ends up being the case, you might be better off getting the Forge, saving the $120, and buying yourself another goodie.

You this will work with the Alta PnP because I'm considering it in my future mods, that's why of been asking about bov's.

E-mail from forge for all interested

John,

We are still in the development phase of this product and as such I don't have the final test figures as of yet although I expect them before too long now. I can say that early tests would suggest something along the lines of 10-12 wheel hp and about 8 lbft of tq. One thing is for certain, it'll make for an improvement and will accomodate other imporvements very nicley and be more important as a supporting modification that allows you to get the most out of the car as it is pushed more

E-mail from Forge UK :
Thank you for your enquiry. I am sorry but I am unable to confirm if the strut braces will clear the Alta Induction kit as we do not sell Alta products and at this time have had no reports from customers. There should be no problem with the intercooler however as we supply these to our US distributor in Florida. We do not make generally make horsepower claims for our intercoolers as there are so many variables involved that we prefer to simply quote exactly what the intercooler does, reduce temperature. Our intercooler reduced the temperature by 9 degrees centigrade (48 degrees F) over the stock intercooler. This equated to over 15hp on our test vehicle (standard software) on the day of testing, though this may increase or decrease depending on ambient temperatures and any other modifications to the vehicle. The big difference on the road is felt when accelerating through the gears, you feel car pull strong right up to the rev limiter without any fading at the higher revs.

The prices are on the USA site, but I'm not sure if they have them in stock yet. When I called last week Forge USA was still waiting for Forge UK to send them over.

hmmm, that little 'nudge' bar seems interesting. In Dallas there are many large vehicles that could use a little push out of the way once in awhile.
