M7 extreme scoop or ram air scoop?

has anyone installed BOTH in their MCS? i really don't know which of the 2 i neeed (no plans at the moment to get an aftermarket IC) and i will be pairing this with an Alta IC diverter

i guess i'm really asking which of the 2 do i really need for a stock IC + Alta diverter?

You can't do both, it's one or the other.

Given that the IR temp readings for both are the exact same, I suppose it's a matter of aesthetics.

As far as what you 'really need', it really depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

Click on the link in my above post. M7 claims both have the exact same effect on external IC temps.

I was wondering if anyone had independent data which said otherwise?

If not, then yeah, clearly the ram is the way to go...(!)

^^^ ram over the extreme scoop purely because of aesthetics?

Eric_Rowland, yeah i've seen the link, kind of hard to believe that they both yielded exactly the same results
