Nice set of pictures and great mods. I enjoyed the flyby video.

What do you think is your HP increase with the Alta mods?

Did you do a before dyno? I imagine it feels awesome.

Did I understand you installed an open 3 inch exhaust with only tips?

I don't say this often, but I love your R56. You did a great job choosing your mods...and your Alta FMIC looks so aggressive; I'm jealous us R53 guys can't get one.

Yes, I also enjoyed your flyby. Like old81 said, how much power does it feel like you gained with the intake, exhaust, and fmic? Are you interested in the new Alta/Unichip ecu tuning?

If you R56 guys start getting close to 300whp, I might have to trade in my R53.

Looks great! Love the intercooler without the front cover over it! Good Job!

I like the looks of the car also. However, going from 18" to 16" alone will make the car much faster.

I really like this car! And I say that regardless of the ALTA on it. But the wheels or something really make the whole thing pop!

Congrats!

Nice set of videos, what CEL are you showing in the one vid? Is that because of the pipe?

Keep us informed of the mods, MINI is looking fast and fun.

Nice car bro! You did a good job on the mini! Anyone know if FMIC voids warranty?

Like the look of the FMIC.

Question about that part... Is it me or are all of these IC look crooked after they are installed? Doesn't matter how the picture was taken but the lines of the IC are off from the bumper lines.

Is this how they will install for the ALTA IC? I want one of these but am getting worried about that.

They CAN be crooked, about 3/8" higher on the driver's side. There are two holes that the intercooler inlet/outlet go thru. You have to trim the plastic around the passenger side hole, to straighten it up. The boost tube & inlet already rides against the top of the hole on the driver's side, so you have to modify the passenger side. ALTA's instructions touch on this. A dremel with a sanding wheel works well. Doing some modification is typical with aftermarket stuff. The "first to market" rule usually results in items that require a little tweaking here and there. Can't usually expect aftermarket stuff to fit like OEM.

I installed mine last night, put it on and off several times to get it acceptably straight. The only real hard part was trying to get the bumper cover installed in the dark and outside. If you take your time, you can get it straight. Not taking away from the other guys who have installed it, I am sure they couldn't wait to feel the results, or didn't have the patience. Here's a pic.
