anyone exp. CLUTHCHMASTERS clutches ?

are these clutch kits worth it ...

do they work for the mini cooper S and cooper..

are there any instal issues ?

Or are there better clutches out there ?

do they offer flywheels for the mini as well.

i have got a COOPER but if it works for the S , it works for the cooper too .

the cooper and S are two different setups
we have had great success with both clutch setups with our customers

I love my stage 3 Clutch Master clutch. I also have their light weight Flywheel and it makes a bid difference in the way the car revs.

I have a Spec clutch. I think its the stage 2 light weight option. It only chatters a little untill 3k rpm.

My friend has a Spec Stage 2+ and it chatters like a helicopter. Not really a pleasant experience for me although the bite of the clutch is pretty good.

whaa whaa whaa. You guys do realize that the coopers clutch chatters stock right? and the only reason the "s" dpesnt is because you gsuys got stuck with a heavy dual mass flywheel. hahahaha

On a serious note,

Jan, how much do the two flywheels weigh, and what clutch set ups can you get in a cooper (non s, just to make sure we are on the same page). I woud love to go with the fx600, but fx400 might be what i get.

Thanks for the help

Beecher

(sorry about the typing, on a differnt style keyboard, and the keys are really stiff ( and i have a broken finger, wich doesnt really help)

Clutch Masters clutches are excellent; highly recommended based on my experience!

the FX 600 is total overkill for a cooper unless you are full turbo
the 400 is also over kill, it's a on off switch, I have it on the 2.0L and it chirps the tires when you let out the clutch in normal driving.

I would recommend the stage 1-3 for a cooper
flywheel weighs around 13lbs
