Yup......

2 more mods....

pulley....many thanks to eric @ helix....
a great guy & a terrific experience ....
discuss what you need and eric will...give you all the options...!!!!!
the pulley is truly the silver bullet for this mcs.
hands down the best $400 investment for this car.

i added what i needed....for my particular needs....
an exhaust should be next.....(and for those who know me...this will be a challenge....)...then then the chip upgrade when i personally can justify the dollars

***also added brake pads. redstuff....which is also worth the dollars invested***

stripes.....many thanks to phil @ grafikdezine.com.....
another great guy & yet another terrific experience....
i luv the look...simple.... yet imho....elegant.
simply stated....if you have an idea...phil...will make it happen.... no question!!!!!

pics

d-mini-ero,

Finally the pulley!!!
The stripes look fantastic! Great job!

Back to the pulley. I knew this mod would serve you best. More power and low-end everyday driveable torque yet no drone!

Make sure to check out the NRP. It's hard to find info but I've talked to 3 or 4 people now on here that have it. All say it has ZERO drone - EVEN LESS DRONE and volume on the highway than the stock exhaust. Yet it is wide - 2 1/2" diameter like the magnaflow. ANd it is reasonably priced. I really think this exhaust may be up your alley. Eric @ Helix says it's been dynoing as well as the magnaflow once the pulley is on. I'm thinking about it as well.

Very nice center stripe, looks great on your Silver MCS. I am curious about the stripe in the area where the Mini body logo is. Did you have to cut out the material so it fit around the logo's in the front and rear, or did you remove the logo plates? If you removed them, how did you do that and what did you use to replace them with?
Thanks,
Hank

thanks dude

grinder:
Red Stuff
EBC semi metallic Redstuff formulation is a true asphalt race pad with medium lifetime and a friction level of about 0.3 steadily rising to 0.33 at 750oC. Redstuff is extremely kind to brake discs and can be used on highway vehicles for extreme duty use as well as on race cars.

well....kinda...sorta...maybel...yes!
they remind me of an.....the retro racer style

greatgro:
i'm thinking on the nrp & the works exhaust as well.
the pulley has an interesting ..."whine" as well

hank:
the logo was cut out by computer & the emblems were therefore not removed...
give phil@grafikdezine a call....(631 274 9723) ..he's a great guy.

Love the center stipe. How about a couple more pics- it would be nice to see some front shots from a bit of a side angle and a little above the car- to get an even better look at the overall effect. Makes me think I might want to do this on my PS/B MC.

D,

The stripes look great and compliment your silver paint and dark tints extremely well.

Once I get the kinks out of my MINI, I'm going to have to do that pully mod, too.

As a side note, your MINI is really shining. What wax are you using?

See ya,
JS

d-man!

Now you're talking about a sweet ride! All that time and effort on that exhuast and all you needed was the pulley! I can't wait for Randy to make his way down to PHX for the group install later this year. I'll probably end up with an Alta Intake before then...if money isn't bad. Right now, it's looking OK.

Dominic

p.s. I hope the situation you described to me in a PM is going well. Keep up the good work!

P&S What?
I can't decide what suits you better the pulley or the stripes.
Both are great additions for you. I did read about your experiences with the various exhausts and ended up with a Quicksilver for myself (Which I really like by the way)
Anybody can add a pulley... but your MCS is special with the black stripes- really nice and well done.
Ever thought of a carbon fiber hood scoop?
I love your personal MINI logo-by the way-it's really cool

INFO REQUEST!!!!!
RE: the stripes
There is currently a blank area on the bonnet... where the stripe is currently missing... (location is... the passenger side wiper assembly..where the bonnet meets the windshield). I can remove the wiper assembly cap ,but does anyone know of a proceedure or a special tool to remove the base that is flush w/ the bonnet??????
I'm stumped?????
Any info would be greatly appreciated . I'd really like to paint the plastic fender flares/etc in black gloss.
also that exhaust still haunts me ...lol . There must be one out there that meets ...my needs

Peace,
D

Gotta chip in.

We made that first pulley about 7 months ago and Eric put it on his car. He was so excited, he stayed up all night doing the first install. I am happy to report that since then, hundreds of these have been installed with no reports of failure or engine problems and a lot of satisfaction. (no drone!)

That whine is crazy, right? Don't be chicken about mashing the gas pedal rignt to the floor either; second and third gear rock hard!
