I installed the ALTA turbo inlet hose last night. I will admit I was skeptical about the claimed 8 lbs of torq and 10hp. All I can say is that there is definately a difference in power and response., I am very happy with the results. Extreamly easy install too! Now if I can just get the ECU upgrade:impatient

I think I am going to do the matching boost tubes too. My wallet is getting very skinny!

 

haha thats what i plan on doing too.. i believe the tubes will be my first mods.. but i mean like the whole enchalada type of deal thingy.

im checking altas site.. i dont see the tube you have on their site.... i see the other two which is on the upper left of the engine and the lower right... how did you get that intake tube?

 

+1 to that question. I've been looking for the turbo inlet hose literally everywhere, but no one has it in stock... I need one on my MINI immediately! I already have the red boost tubes and red cold air intake, so that tube would be the perfect complement performance and aesthetics wise. I WANT IT :impatient

 

I basically begged and asked them to send me one. I told Adam I did not care what color. I guess I got lucky. They must have found one somewhere. When they are available It is definately a mod that I would do again.

Hmmmm, well I might have to give that a try - cannot wait ANY longer!

 

I wanna get the turbo inlet tube and replace my homemade turbo muffler delete section. But, I don't really see how the second boost tube on the left side could make a difference. I mean the plastic air tube on the left side is so SMALL and DIMPLED with BENDS. I don't see how adding a bigger tube after that could make a change. Am I the only one who can't believe how restrictive that section is?

Yea, I've been checking their site over the weekend. They're local to me so if I can pick one up there, then get it installed over at R/T Tuning, it'd be ideal. Gonna give them a call first thing in the morning.

 

Nice job Mike!! Now just get the downtube, ECU so we can race and put that R56 to the test. You dont want to go agaisnt me in the canyons with my new Coilovers :-)

nice part M7, but this is the tube that runs from the air intake to the turbo. Good to know there are options in the future though!
