The pictures are working today, but it seems photobucket was hacked last night. Quckly go to thier site and it gives you a message about it.

Nice write up though.

So which are the best bushings to go for? Moss Mini Powerflex, which appear to completely replace the OEM bushings they come as the large and small bushings and are ~ 125. The Ireland Engineering bushings, which by the sounds of things are inserts and only the large bushings and at the ~ 75 price. Outmotoring also has Powerflex bushings, but it appears that their's are inserts for the large bushing their price is ~140.

Now I called Moss-Mini to ask if the powerflex bushings they sell replace the OEM or are inserts and the guy said they replace...kinda odd if Powerflex offers two different kinds of essentially the same piece. Also, on the Moss Mini site it shows the Upper mount for 02-06? I'm looking to buy these bushing soon, along with Rear Trailing arm bushing...but I don't want to get the wrong stuff.

Thanks,

Eric

I recently installed the Madness lower mount. Huge improvement. I wouldn't say that the car vibrates, it's more like it resonates... It feels like the chasis is way more connected to the engine. It eliminated about 75% of torque steer/lurch, initial acceleration feels sharper. I don't know about the others, but the install for the Madness bushings was fairly easy, the smaller bushing is split so doesn't need a press to install- I just cut the lip off of one side of the OEM bushing and pounded it out. It was a pretty tight fit to get the dogbone back in place, but I think the result is better if you don't have to resort to grinding any material away. Now the burble is transmitted directly to your butt... I think that my wifey is going to like driving/riding in the car more now .
