237 HP

I found this Video on YouTube and didn't know where it would fit better... here or the video threads, but it is more about modifications so I will post it here. The guy claims 237 hp with the mods listed at the end of the video..

Any thoughts about the the stock market like chart?

I know it's not very clear, but is worth looking at... have fun

This is a common result with the listed mods and a good tune.

Sounds like the RPM is higher than stock...maybe not, but the pitch sounds pretty high. Aren't we also supposed to dyno in 4th gear? I thought 4th was closer to a 1:1 ratio...

I got to watch the video, looks like wheel hp. Wow, 237whp on a Mustang must be 250whp on a dynojet. The numbers seem a little high. I have only been able to get 234whp on a dyno jet with smiliar mods, but my car is able to dyno the near same numbers over and over again with very little heat soak. The air/water intercooler really helps with that. With an air/air intercooler I was losing 20whp with each pull.

FYI (since you can't watch the vid now) the car is an 05 and mods as listed are:

- Alta 15% pulley
- GTT IC
- Alta CAI
- OBX manifold
- Scorpion catback
-dbilas dynamic camshaft
- Original Rectifie Head and TB
- Mini Speed ECU program

too good to be true? I will try to contact the submitter to see the deal behind it...

cheers

Looking at the license plate I think this was done in Greece or Spain (not 100% sure). But isn't there a difference between Europe / US on how horsepower is measured?

edit: maybe I'm not awake yet

Promissing to say the least, I want to get a valve job and new cam plus a dyno tune (all in the next few years). I can only hope to put down such power.

Hi,

My Name is Costas and I am from Greece. The car at the above video is mine. I had a second dyno run this summer and got 233 Whp @ 7950 rpm but with higher temps. I also had a variable cam sprocket installed and had a custom program made. I am going now to add a metallic sport catalytic converter and remove the larger TB to check the difference it makes.

PS. Malta is not in Greece

First of all let me say welcome to NAM, DiGiTaLBee.

Second, that is a nice number you got there, I think alot of minis now are reaching this limit, and past it . We are all HP junkies here and would love to see the dyno graph... what was the temperatures when you got 237hp?
I think your car is about the same with MarioKart and you are very close in HP... also check with Revolution Mini Works (231hp with 15% pulley, Alta CAI and RMW Big Valve Head) as you might find that there is good info there.
Keep us posted on the progress and updates...

cheers

Welcome Coatas,
I would love to see what numbers you get after you remove the larger TB. Sometimes I think about removing my TB. What software are you using?
BTW nice numbers!
Mario

The software was made on the dyno by the owner of the dynamometer. I had to remove MiniSpeed's one as I found that tha A/F ratio was not as good as I wanted. As for the high numbers bare in mind that the maximum power is at almost 8000rpm that is higher than most have as a limit.
