Drivetrain One for all the TwinCharged guys.
One for all the TwinCharged guys.
ok just knocking some ideas around in my head and just wanted the coments of others. if its a stupid idea please tell me.
i have already spoke to a few people about it. as siad it just ideas!!!
right we all know the problems with TwinCharging. one you start uping the boost then the SC get in a mess and, well it doesn't work. so is there a way of running TC and it working at higher boost levels??
well the first thing is could a front mount (like Tuls for example) be used for the turbo?? this could then feed into the throttle body as normal. this would reduce the temps the SC is getting. alternatively could a chargecooler, like the one Fireball use on their turbo only cars, be shoehorned into there??
if either of the above 'could' work then what about the bypass valve?? most other twincharged setups (none mini) bypass the SC once the turbo in providing positive boost. could the current bypass valve be set up to open onve the turbo starts to produce positive preusre in front of the SC? this would bypass the SC and all the problems you get with high preusre, high temp air going through the SC.
what do you guys think???
Thanks Chris.

Hey, Chris. These are very good questions. I am not sure about the bypass valve question. You would have to shoot Tuls a PM. But the charge cooler, look into these, http://www.pwr-performance.com/intercooler.htm
The liquid to air barrel intercooler. I think that might be what I saw on one of the Fireballed cars(black car with a lot of chrome and purple accents in the engine bay).
