One of the BIG differences (that you can see in our dyno plots on our website) is how the car doesn't pull timing up above in the RPM band as when the OEM IC hits heat soak. This is even more apparent on multiple runs.

On the alignment, be sure the dremeled area is even on both sides. That is the only way I could even think it might be crooked. Also, check the bumper skin as well. Might be an optical illusion.

well after two 40 min track sessions i have cords showing on my front tires after 5400 miles :-) and the IC is GREAT. hot side was hot and from the center of the ic to the cold side was ice after 40min of nothin under 4k rpm.

okay, so got mine in and is running fine now with no check engine light, yippie!!!! From the little that I've driven it so far, it seems to have even more low end power, too much traffic to get movin faster....looks soooo sweet on the car though!!! Adam from Alta was a huge help in installing it when it got hard and after the install, so thanks Adam and Alta, once again showing why you guys are the best aftermarket company for MINIs!!!!

So leaving school I was able to do a higher speed acceleration(to like 50mph) and there's more power throughout the rpm band, especially in 1st and 2nd gear...more low end, but now pulls quite a bit more up high, like it got a second wind from the cooler boost!!

 

AWESOME! My MINI is actually gonna be really similar to yours mechanically once I'm done with it... CANNOT wait, you have one sweet machine.

would deff make people do a seccond look with the grill on. looks like yourrs stits a little low on the pass side like mine. just be a optical illusion like adam said.

tempting... very tempting. your car must be a rocket already! Is the torque steer getting crazy? Even stock I find hard acceleration to be quite an adventure in steering.

 

mine smoothed out a little, could be the bald tires tho. just lights up first and seccond :-)

 

I don't really have any torque steer problem under acceleration unless the road is really crappy....I just get a good grip on the steering wheel, plus I have LSD so no problems for me......and yes masterd78, definitely a sleeper.....07 MCS I took the picture at an angle, so that might be part of it, cause in person it looks straight.
