lol, ive been driving with the windows down and sunroof open all week :P its 48+ in the morning s here and the afternoons are a perfect 70 degrees

Thanks Carbonized. I'm afraid it's gonna be costly like you said, although the sandwich idea would work just fine for me. Ultimately, what I want to do is create a completely flat surface (like yours) over the seats and up to the current boot area, and then have a continuation of the surface, but that is essentially a sunken storage box with a lid on the same plane as the rest of the RSD (again, a lot like yours, but with my own spin). Lots of time before that's gonna happen though, but research is the key to getting started!

Stopped by a week ago or so to visit Carbonized.

The roof is SWEET, actually very simple and clean. Dropping some 70lbs I think. He also showed me some pics of the Porsche stuff he works on - blow away stuff.
