The rotors are fine but don't go with the green set of pads. I didn't like them at all. Braking was lame and the dust was worse than OEM pads. Now, that bein said....I have not tried the yellows or reds....

my next question is what offset do I need on my future wheels when do get a new set along with the ratio between the bigger (the rotors's thickness) brakes and the offst I would need for the rims?

I guess I need to find out what's the good thickness orr size for rotors when I do change my brakes and what offset I would then need to buy the appropriate wheels to fit?

Thanks.

You will use the same size rotor with these pads. Is that what your asking? Unless, you go with a Big Brake Kit. Then normal size pads won't work.

I've have had Green Stuff Pads for over a year and love them, and there isn't a 10th of dust on my R90's I had with oem pads.Just my honest opinion.

still wondering about the offset on the wheels I would need. Most after market wheels are set between 40-43 mm offset.

How would I know what wheel (THE OFFSET FIGURE) will fit with what braking rotors's thickness/size??

EBC Brakes are not good!

I installed a set when I first got my MCS to decrease the dust from the OEM pads. I kept them for about 500 miles and got rid of them.

They don't dust less. They fade fast. And they don't stop quick.

If your driving involves accelerating and braking frequently, then
go with the Ferodo's. They make dust, and they squeak a little, but they stop great and never fade.

The wheel size and offset will vary with your choice of brake upgrade.

First decide what brake upgrade then that will determine your needs for clearance.

Some big brakes are actually small enough to fit some 15 or 16" wheels while others need much more clearance.

Wheel offset is less of a factor if you choose something about +42 to +48mm but it varies with the width of the rim. The wider the rim the less offset you want. If you lower your car then you have much less clearance and offset becomes for critical.

Try looking at the various options at TCE brakes and email Todd for more info on wheel fitment.

so in your daily driving you get brake fade? I dont think thats the brakes fault, mostly driver. I drive in trafic as much as the next guy and even with oem pads I have NEVER had fade on the street. try keeping the 10/10th driving for the track dood.

I'm not sure if its called "brake fade" but I can be driving at 70mph and all of sudden traffic will come to a stop and the EBC barely stop me in time. I'm not a tailgater at all, the brakes just aren't very good. Soon I will be going to 12" Willwoods.

Just to let you or him know...the EBC pads will dust MORE and you will have DECREASED braking performance for the first 500 miles or so. It has been written in the good book of EBC.... But, the greens are still on the bottom of the list. I didn't like them.

Take it for what it's worth, dood. I didn't like them. Just trying to save someone else the same mistake.

And by the way, please don't follow me with your EBC's.

I have the EBC Greens and EBC rotors. I am not an aggressive driver and I do not autocross or track my car. The pads throw off less dust than the OEMs (but they still dust up) and they stop at least as well as the OEMs for me (but I think a bit better). They have lasted well so far (30,000 miles). I have not tried other brands but will likely continue to use these pads when it's time to replace them.

The greens are not recommended for autocross or track use so it could be that those who dislike them are pushing them too hard.

Spend an extra $20 and get Hawk Ceramic pads! I put these on a couple of months ago before I put on some R98's. There is hardly any dust build up and they stop great.

I believe that I read somewhere that EBC has changed their Greenstuff pads. That could explain some folks liking them & others saying they suck. Just a thought.

Here's another thought, if you don't have enough brakes for safe street use no matter what the pad.....slow down just a bit & look farther down the road as you drive.

I agree that the Hawk Ceramics are a good pad for street use. Very little dust, but all pads will dust a bit, even ceramic's.

I've used them on a few track days & IMO are at least as good as stock pads. Not the hot setup for the track, but usable

Porterfield R4-S pads.

Have them on the front, very little dust, no noise and they work great.

No fade at all on long AX course. Braking from 90 mph to 5-10 mph.
