did the k&n 1540 today during lunch . i think i'm gonna keep it . the throttle responce is "right now!!" as compared to the cai i had. it was a k&n in the bottom air box. from outmotoring . now i wanna lose the bottom of the stock box but i gotta figure a way to keep the ecu in the factory plastic, to keep the heat at bay . anyone?

cool thought. so i could just fab acouple brackets ; one for the bat. cable and one for the ecu and wrap it in this stuff ; or at least one side of it so it doesn't cook itself . thx .

 

probably in my head but with the intake piping out and the back wall having a big 4" hole in it ; it seems some under hood heat is gone . the car is running lean again due to all the extra air ,but the air flow must be much better under there . so maybe 440's now . ha !!
