We are currently developing fully adjustable Rear Control arms. They will have about 1" adjustability which will be more than enough to get all the camber you need, or to adjust too much camber out for a lowered Mini. Kit will include all 4 control arms, made out of 6061-T6511 for an Ultra Light Ultra Strong Control Arm. With Heim Joints Capable of over 4 tons of pressure. They will be easily adjustable with a 1" wrench, just jack the car up, loosen the Lock Nuts, make a couple turns of the control arm (with out dis assembling anything) tighten it all back up and you are ready to race! Weight estimates are about 3 lbs per control arm. Once we get the first demo's in it will be some hard race testing to check the strength and veratility of them. Target Price will be about 400 for a set of 4. WIll post pictures as soon as they are available.

As Heim jointed control arms are not STX/STS autocross legal and RDR/Helix have had aluminum control arms with Heim joints on the market for at least 5 months why did you feel the need to do this? I have now switched from the illegal RDR arms to the legal, H-Sport, arms. Aside from the fact that the RDR's are much lighter, the H-Sport arms are much easier to work with as the lock nuts are in the middle of the arm, on either end of the hand adjustable grip rather than at the ends of the arms where they can be somewhat hard to get to, especially the one on the inside of the upper arm.

Why? I ask the question why not... I feel that to perform better, you need better parts. ths STX clasification does not matter once you put a pulley on because both mods will put you in Street Mod. I am building my car up for a Street Mod performer, and these will help the car get there.

Please include a mount point for the DSC sensor on the upper DS arm.

Thanks

good luck with that...the rod end will let the control arm rotate +/- 10 degrees unless you restrain it.

Minipilo: may I suggest you concentrate your enthusiasm on totally new products?

JLM Thanks for the Information. The Rod Ends are going to be restrained, so they will not rotate too much. What type of new product would you suggest? I have some other idea's but would like to hear some suggestions

Effective short term intercooler cooling system. Spray - maybe CO2 or Nitrogen.

I'd like to see an intake that combines:
--closed-top intake (like BMP)
--open cowl (like alta)
--foam cone element
--replacement runners (like K&N/Alta)

Oh, and a big aluminum wing and neon.

Jeff

Will Look into some of the suggestions here..

News on the Rear Control Arm. I have recieved some of the parts, and have build 1 test Control Arm, and have found it to be very strong, and weights about 2.5-3lbs with a thicker piece of Aluminum in the center. I should have all the parts early next week, and will have it installed by next weekend after some welding and testing of strength.

don't expect the aluminum tensile strength to be retained after welding unless you re-heat treat.

Tere is no welding to the Aluminum. Only Steel to Steel Welding. The aluminum is onle getting tapped and Threaded. Not welding so no hear treatment will be nessicary. Thanks for the heads up though john.

Thanks,
Dan

I was talking to a vendor today, and they already have this in the works, so I'm not going to persue it too hard. I will let you know when it becomes available.

Regarding the read control arms. I have gotten a bit further tonight. I have made bolt mounts, and every thing fits really nice. All the joints are as clost as they could possibaly be, so the movement of the rear control arm will kept to an absolute minimum. Can't wait to get the last parts in and get these babies on my car.

Just a quick update on the control arms. We start on car testing this weekend. I have the arms out getting center bored for the heim joints tomorrow so full assembly should be done by tomorrow night. and installation the night after. Then some hard driving and testing. Kind of a torture testing to makesure they are impossible to fail.

Sorry to say it, but I don't know if I trust backyard businesses like this. I have never even heard about Pilo Racing until the design contest. With little to no backround in the car business, I am a little uneasy about buying parts...

Ask the people who have the intake, or ask randy who has tested my parts. I admit that I am a startup company, but I am the real deal with testing, and quility products. If you have any other concerns, I'd be happy to discuss them in a PM.

Oh, And Regarding the insurance, I am in the process of re-evaluating it to include the liability of carrying suspension product, so I will be fully covered and so will my customers. Thanks for the inquiry, and I hope that this satifies any concerns that you may have had.

i assume those are not teflon lined rod ends since you felt the need to weld to the *****.

What is your solution to the DSC sensor which clamps to the control rod, now a rotating adjuster element (which also shakes with the normal spherical ball movement) in your scheme

That is correct. They are not teflon lined. They are Treated Steel and oil Impregnated. Load rating of over 8000lbs
