Pulley torque specs comparison

Curious- those of you with pullies installed on your car, what pulley do you have and what are were the torque specs for the bolts, that the instructions gave you?

why do you need to know for different pullies? if you get one, you only need those instructions.

I'm installing a pulley that doesn't come with instructions, and it's not from one of the "big tuners".

I put "lock-tite" on mine and went to a quarter past firm. Probably a lot more than 75-80 inch-pounds, but what the hey... it has lasted over 65,000 miles. If it is that important to you (and I am not judging) probably somewhere around what the others take is safe. As for "lock-tite", that's just what I do.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Some pullies say 40in/lb, some say up to 80in/lb. I guess anywhere inbetween is safe...

And loctite is a must for sure.

how many bolts does your pulley have? seems like the more bolts, the less in. lbs required.

Mine has 4. At first I was thinking 40in/lb because alta uses 4 bolts and requires 40 in/lb.

The Helix pulley has 6 which should be torqued at 60 in/lbs each.

Is it a 2 piece or 3 piece? My minimania is 3pc and requires 70 in/lbs.
