Intake Question

WHen you guys changed your intake. which one did you use and did it make the Supercharger whine more noticable inside the car?

There should be a lot of info on this subject if you use the search function. I have the Webb Motorsports Sportbox and whine is definitely more noticeable when I get on it. No change when cruising.

a lot of the increase in noise

is from removing the rear baffle in the engine compartment by the firewall. Many, many many intakes do this. Some like the JCW because it uses a flap so that it's not open all the time.

I was thinking of ordering the wider opening, for the firewall.
Glad I didn't, that's probably why there was a SLIGHT increase in cabin noise.

I went with alta, and it is very much louder than stock, and the initial whoosh of air when you first press the accelerator is pretty cool too. Here is a video with an 04 mcs all stock except for alta intake and hose. Windows are up, and sound quality is not that good from the digital camera. speed from about 5mph through 75ish mph
