is it better to have a plastic ags or a metal one? also what are the pro's of having this mod rather than the oem. does it just put more air into the engine?

If I had a choice, I would go with the plastic one. The area where the AGS lives is surrounded by heat generating parts.
i was following that discussion on the AT tube for awhile until the AGS came out then it died. which do you think performs better.
I also wanted to do the electric pump. can you put me on the trail for the parts needed and the gains. sorry for goin off topic
As far as performance, I would have to say that the shorter AGS tube would be better. The only thing I don't like about it is that it's not a sealed system, unless you're moving, your sucking some seriously warm under hood air.
I know Tuls found no gain from when he compared the MCSa tube to the 6-speed tube, but to me it seems the air would flow better through the nice consistent diameter of the MCSa tube. Like I posted above, I want to keep my airbox/filter/induction hose setup because I plan to ram air into it from somewhere, either on top of the hood or from the front.
I contacted Dave from DDM about the electric water pump conversion, he's a really nice guy and didn't mind me picking his brain in PMs and on the phone.
He gave me some very valuable info as far as flow direction, what needs to be plumbed together, and what I have to make. He said he may offer a kit for it, but i'm not sure where that is on his list.

So your waiting on DDM to make a kit or your piecing one together?
I'm doing it myself. The kit will be nice for those who don't have the means to make the stuff needed to do the conversion. I have a good friend that owns a metal/machine shop where I do all the work on my car, betweeen the two of us we'll be able to make all the stuff to do it, except the pump of course.
At what price would everything be you think roughly? And the gains?
Once I get into it and see what needs to be done and what we use, i'll have a better idea.
The gains...less drag on the SC is the main one, definitely free up some power there. You also won't have to worry about the water pump drive lube going away.
