Drivetrain Intake or Exhaust? which one for the MC....
okay.. just reposting from another thread... which one is a better path... intake or exhaust... I'm looking for more low end oomph... and was ready to get either an rspeed or a borla exhaust.... but if an intake can give me the low end power, i'll go for that... anybody? thanks...

I have a K&N drop in filter. I do not see a lot of help at the low end of the rpm but I seem to have better power in the mid range than with the stock filter. I have no numbers to back this up.
From what I have read the aftermarket exhaust help push (pull?) a larger volume of gas away from the combustion chamber. You would not have this condition at low RPM. You likely will see a difference in the mid range power with an aftermarket exhaust. How often in you day to day driving do you take the motor over 4500 RPM? If you answer is often or kinda often or heak yea, you may want toconsider purchasing the exhaust first.
I will be changing my stock exhaust. Based on what the systems I have heard and looked at it will be a Borla. I have not been next to a MC with a R-Speed unit while the car is running. While looking for a power upgrade, I confess the swap will be more for my listening enjoyment than the power upgrade.

I have the K&N drop in filter and the Remus exhaust. I really like the performance and sound of both. It was worth the expense. The Remus exhaust was pretty easy to install and I believe it has added some power.
Also these items are on a MC CVT.
