On the NJ Turnpike last night my exhaust (Borla, there have been fitment issues) suddenly developes a throater sounf and my dsc and Check Engine Light come on. Pull over turn of engine, restart dsc is off but check engine remains. OBD codes are P0300 which I believe was already in there (I had added Nologies) and this code P0107. Anyone know what it is?

Check Engine Light is on but car is running fine. TIA Michael

 

P0107 - Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low input

 

I would suggest to continue to drive the vehicle disregarding that CEL for about a week and see if it goes away. I have that same problem with my exhaust and header. The CEL comes and goes.

 

OK appreciate that but what exactly does that mean? Especially if one just got a new exhaust to fit right with no leaks...

 

I don't know if it means low input like low pressure or low voltage. Low voltage could be that the sensor is going bad, low pressure, I'm not sure. Sounds like for some reason you're developing too much vac?

 

Just a guess but I would say that since you described a funny, 'throater' sound, that your bypass valve stuck open causing a low pressure situation. When you restarted, it closed and all is now OK.

 

I agree with the BPV suggestion. Also, why do you think your nologies should cause a code? Mine don't.
