Problem starting after VGS mod

OK, so I did the VGS mod. After washing my dirty, bloody hands, I took the car out, and I do enjoy the feel of the car now. One problem exists however- the car has trouble starting. The car only has trouble starting if it has been sitting for a while, like overnight. It usually starts on the second try, but if I try and start it on the first try it will sit there, stumble, and stall. The only thing I can think of, is that due to the silicone vaccum lines I used perhaps not sealing properly(it was what I had sitting around.), the car isn't developing enough vaccum to the FPR upon startup, and isn't getting enough fuel to start the car. I'm not sure why this would only affect the car after sitting for a long time however. The car runs perfectly fine otherwise.

It could possibly be the gas. My car just developed this problem, i've been running the same gas(Mobil) and my car used to just fire up, hot or cold. Now it stumbles on the first cold start only.

I use cheap gas, because I'm a cheap fool. $3.20/gal is high enough for me.. I'll see if the problem goes away on the next tank which should be today- I suppose I should try a different brand and see.

Only $3.20? Wait until it hits $4.00 a gallon in your state . Gas is going to be 4.00-4.50 nationally by the end of the summer... Not only that but they're already talking about summer shortages due to limited refining capacity.

To answer your question, it could just be the stumble some people have noticed with the older cars... I think it usually started happening right around the time they started summer formulas at the pumps. FYI, people have reported the VGS system raising IAT's by more than 100 degrees F, you may want to watch it, cause 200 degree IAT's will cause pinging VERY quickly in the summer, and you'll fry your engine that way.

let me rephrase- $3.20 was at the Stop and Shop gas station where you get 10c off per gallon with your shopper card. I usually pay about $3.30, and in fact just now paid $3.39 because I went to shell, because I wanted to see if different gas would cure the above problem. :D
