I'd love to upgrade my exhaust system at some point, but...
1) I'd like to be able to keep the stock exhaust tips, for a phantom look
2) I don't want a system that will annoy people on the street with it's noise (I lived in an apartment in the town center once, and had too many Saturday mornings ruined by tricked-out Civics).

So...any suggestions on what systems I should look at? Thanks for your advice!

 

Search one-ball mod, it should fit the bill. Cheap too.

 

Yeah I love my one-ball mod. It cost me $65.00 and it preforms much better than I expected, close to aftermarket cat-back exhaust systems.

 

There was a thread on the one-ball exhaust where someone did a one-ball (deleted the resonator on the passenger side), and replaced the original muffler with a magnaflow universal muffler- 9x4 I think. He kept the 2.25 piping. But now that I think about it he probably had to buy a set of tips...so I'm not so sure that helps.
