I already have a lightend flywheel and didnt want to fit a after market crank pulley as well due to possible bottom end wear /vibrations.But i understand the later 05 onwards oem crank pulleys are lighter so are they worth fitting. And will they help with a quicker rpm pick up.

Had the latest one fitted by Mini this year when the original early one failed.
I didn't know the unit was supposed to give an improvement and certainly didn't notice anything after it was changed.

If your old one hasn't failed yet, then I would just carry on using it. I bought the newer version and it didn't come cheap!!

Yea, i'm not sure the cost justifies the performance increase. You'll have better luck with a flywheel if you're looking for throttle response.
