Learn how to drive a manual? First -time ?

You should probably stay OFF the track if you are just now starting to learn to shift .... Once you can do that with ease ....

Then head to the Track and "Learn how to drive on a Track ... safe and fast"

Hey Red Fury, I work at Cinci MINI and saw your MCS in there a couple of weeks ago. VERY NICE! But...why did you have the Racing seat in the passenger side and the racing harness on the driver side? And you shift **** was on backwards....

Side note* Is there a track in Ohio where you can actually race? Seems to me like Mid-Ohio ONLY offer's lesson's, and no open track days...which sucks.

Cody,

My stock seat was put back in so my (short) wife could drive it, while I was out of town with her car ....

Shift **** was on upside down b/c there is a metal bur on the one side, from a rachet I was using hitting it, while installing the Cobra seats

NASA events at Mid-Ohio has ALL levels of experience and abilities, race or HPDE levels 1-4 .... HPDE 3 and 4 are for the most part, all out, with passing restrictions and point bys in HPDE3 ,without racing wheel to wheel

Nice! Well, if you ever at the store again hit me up and we can talk. Just ask for Cody in the wash bay.

BTW: I love your BBK! TCE nice.....

I would love to come out and race, but I can't until I pay off my MINI, which will probably be next spring. And what is "HPDE"? Sorry, I've never researched or read about anything racing related...so I'm new to this!

Cody,

HPDE = High Performance Driving Experience , a "school" to learn to drive better, safer and faster on track, learn car control, passing manuevers

It was a great time, my instructor was awesome! He did a really got job of tayloring his instruction to my level of driving and my car. I'm not to sure what the Z06 in my group thought of being passed by a MINI all day, but I sure enjoyed it!!!
