Washed and HYDRO'ed both Mini's yesterday. Boy did they need it and boy they look GREAT! It's tough finding an opening this time of year. Now I need more supplies, time to spend some of that Christmas cash!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

If it ever unfreezes here, I will crack the gallon of Hydro I picked up just before Christmas. Of course, I have not really driven scooter anywhere since the last hand-wash.

It is supposed to be in the 40s this weekend, so I will go out an splash around a little bit. The refill my spray bottles.

Yesterday was a wash and the first Hydro. What a difference. The Epic looked great on the NightFire Red; Hydro simply pushes the look past expectation. I'm in for a gallon.

I am about to use Hydro for the first time( over zaino ) and will be spraying on and drying with the DP drying towel and also the monster fluffies......once those towels get the hydro on them, do they need to be washed before used again? if not washed does the hydro on them decrease their drying abilities?

Good question, I've been doing both of our cars with one waffle towel. I do my MINI first, wring out the towel, and then do my wife's Eclipse. I have been washing the towels after each car-wash session though.

Underwear = 4 times...front/back/right-side-out/inside-out

I was curious about the absorbency issue. I plan to wash my towels after each session.

Technically, it takes a good bit of Hydro to build up in a towel to the point of decreasing its drying abilities. In most cases, you wouldn't see a decrease in drying abilities.

I would say that there is a much more important reason to wash your drying towels between uses than Hydro buildup... such as making sure it is perfectly clean of dirt/debris/dust/etc before each use.

just used Hydro for the first time a couple days ago, over zaino of 4-6 weeks ago...at first I did not notice much increase in slickness but then 12 hours later it became real slick...I've heard that Epic gets slicker after a day or so, is this typical with hydro too? certainly easy to apply and the car looks great although the car looked great anyway and was still pretty slick feeling from its recent zaino'ing but thought it could use a booster in slickness...very satisfied and plan to use once/twice a month until its next zaino'ing in 6 months(unless I also buy the banana gloss)

Yep.... polymers in Hydro "cure" similar to Epic. Apply, come back later, and be wowed.

Last week was tough on the Cooper; hot and windy in Sacramento which means the trees in the office park I work in spray sap all over everything. I figured I was in for some work today. This morning running my hand gently across the hood felt like 1 (that's one) grit sandpaper. After the wash I got a great surprise; nothing held on to the paint. Smooth as the minute after applying the Amigo and Epic several weeks ago. Hats off to Hydro; the weekly misting after a wash is holding off the nastiest tree sap I unfortunately found. The gallon should be here Frriday

ok you guys, i just bought a new MCS..in AB. Does Hydro work well for this hard to keep clean color? I was referred to this forum/thread by someone in one of the other forums. Sounds like this Hydro product is off the hook.

Im a very new driver, just got my license (im an adult, not 16 years old though) and my car.

Please help me..does Hydro work better with the car wet or dry?

Hydro works well either wet or dry. Wet (after a wash) it is spread by drying off the MINI. Dry, use it like a QD with a soft microfiber. It is a good product.
If you want a more lasting product try Banana Gloss. It is a wax that you can use even in direct sun on hot paint. Lasts longer then Hydro and gives a good shine.
For the ultimate protection, durability and gloss use Epic. This will last about 4 - 6 months and gives an incredible deep, wet glossy shine. Then boost it with Hydro when you wash and you'll be cruise'n!
