G detailed last weekend... not the best picts here you go

I used...

Griots PaintPrep (to remove NXT) + distilled water to dillute.
Prima Clay + Meg maroon bottle QD as lube.
Griots Polish3 (only had very minor swirls) on Griots orange pad.
Griots Best of Show, 2 coats on Griots red pad.
SpeedShine + DP Platinum MF to remove wax, finished with MonsterFluffy
Prima Clarity on the glass with the DP glass MF towels
Prima Hydro on the SSR wheels using DP utility MF towels
Meg InsaneShine on the tires (i dont use that much, so no glazed donuts)
Prima Nero on the seals and interior.
Wenol on the exhaust tips.

wish i knew how to use a camera... more picts in the gallery.

closeups of the paint... tailights also waxed as usual.

wheels with Hydro. notice the non-shiny finish you can achieve with
Meg's InsaneShine if you use only a little... and this finish lasts a LONG time.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet, Ken.

If there were no such thing as MINIs, I'd probably be driving a G35. Of course, mine would be RED !

Good job, I like the reflection on the wheels, shows attention to detail.

Curious, I always thought G35s had front ends

jeff- its amazing how your brother and i have like the opposite tastes
but still have the same car. this is why i like G's... it's very
customizable (if that's a word).

Good work Ken. I especially like the unglazed donuts! Really though I'm not a fan of the glossy tire look and yours look good, car looks great.

I love the G and those rims! Very tasteful. That car is such a great design - I'm afraid the G37 isn't going to stack up to the original design.

Thanks, mark.

yah, i too was very dissappointed with the new G37C... the concept was
cool and i was planning to get the next gen, but once i saw the rendering
of the G37C i was like.. , then the magazine release last weekend....

my MCS's pictures didn't turn out that great so im not going to start another thread and
just post here. i need to get a better camera and do more experiments taking picts
as well....

the MCS was detailed last weekend too and used the same treatment as the G35C
(other than the Griots Vinyl&Rubber dressing on the arches).
car turned out nice despite the mediocre picts... car has a lot of orange peel.

You know your wheels are clean when you can see each of the three individual specs of brake dust

After looking at my car from the front, i think the car looks cleaner
without the tow hook now that the front plate is there... it's like the
front plate and the hook are both trying to get attention(focus) and
the eyes can't decide where it's suppose to go.

wat do you guys think?

here's a chopped version:

unchopped...

As to the tow ring. IMHO, I never liked the tow ring thing. Seemed a bit hokey or cutesy to me. Much cleaner w/out it ...

But its a personal preference thing ... Whatever you like.
