water spot on windows

I have quite a bit of waterspot on my windows since I park next to a sprinkler for a while. Is there any product out there that I can get it off. I have tried vinegar and it doesn't seems to work. Thanks.

Vinegar is very good for water spotting on glass. Just plain everyday white vinegar, no need to break out the fancy Grey Poupon Vinegar. We use it all the time on water spotted aquarium glass tops.

I notice that when I wipe my windows with Meguiar's nxt window cleaner and an mf towel, I see vertical drip lines in the glass. Yet, when it is dry I do not notice them. I wonder what that is. I plan on getting some glass polish soon though, I am guessing it is due to some chemical or what?

The solution to any glass problem I can think of (other than chips and cracks, of course):

--Claybar
--Prima Clarity
--DP's Glass Cleaning Cloth

Your glass will be the envy of every car on the road.

what about the little tiny fleck/pit things that show up during sunset? It's not covered, but they are there.

My theory is that they are little tine flecks and pits in the glass and due to the angle the sunlight is striking them, makes them very noticeable. It only happens to aggravite car nuts! The only way to fix it is to replace the glass, but it will happen again.

I used shower cleaner to get really bad water marks off the glass (not the paint though - don't do that!)

If you're talking about adhesive residue--Goo Gone works well. Clay bar may help remove any remaining residue.

As for waterspots on glass I try the following:

1.) Clay
2.) PC with M80
3.) Vinegar

Yes, you can safely use the PC on glass. I do this with the Meguiar's W8006 pad and it cleans up water spots very nicely. You can then wipe with Clarity glass cleaner.

W8006 is equal to the black pad right?

you can get that off with rain-x, actually.

rain-x has some cleaning agents in it that i like. i use it more for
removing the streaking wiper lines and to extend the life of my blades.
just remember to wipe off the thing real well using some water (i use distilled).
no hazing.

Unfortunately there is no exact equivalent. The black pad is softer than w8006 but stiffer than w9006 finishing pad.

So white pad is closer to yellow. Honestly everyone should just buy one yellow pad and be done with it. LOL.

Corn starch actually can work, or a good glass cleaner and a glass polishing rag.
