Well, She's Clean Again (but for how long)

This morning left the house at 5:30 AM for my daughter's swim meet. Snow !
My sweet lil'Matilda got totally trashed on I-25 with all the backsplash and muddy water. So after the meet (and about 20 additional degrees) I was able to wash the filthy grit of a modern world from my MINI. Alas, how long it will last I do not know.
Here's a before collage:

and then, after some Mystique, Hydro, Slick and Wizard:

I can sleep good tonight knowing my Matilda is clean. Still have the spring job coming up when it will be time to strip, de-swirl and re-wax. Ah, but that's for another day!

Beautiful. Makes me wish my DP stuff (pad pack, polish pack, Epic, & Nero) would hurry up and get here. Ordered it yesterday - STILL NOT HERE

I know the feeling, MiniMaybee. Got our MINIs cleaned up yesterday, knowing there's a good chance of rain and wintry mix today. Just hoping it's gone and the roads have dried up by the morning commute on Monday. Not likely.

But hey, at least we had clean MINIs for a little while, right ?? :impatient

As much as I love your optimism, Jeremy, as I look at the satellite photo, I have to say there's more than a good chance you're optimism is misplaced this time.

MiniMaybee... wow... she looks great!

And I thought my MINI got dirty. I have nothing to complain about anymore since we don't get that kind of snow and slush. And how long is always the question. Instead of the snow, we get rain like every 3 days here. I cleaned mine on Wed. and it rained like heck here last night.

Anyway, looks like Prima came to the rescue! I was just thinking how hard it must be to keep those cabrio tops clean. Seems to me like MINIs get more dirty than other cars. I know the boot does due to some weird aerodynamics, but in general they seem to be more dirty overall. I guess it's also because they are lower to the ground.

Nice Work Maybee! Even for someone in 6th gear And you get double points for being up at 5:30 a.m.

Mother Nature heard your request and said, "I'll show that young naysayer!".

Ugh.... calling for 3-6 inches now and it appears there's already 3 on the ground here. Blech !

I find my car looks the worst after the snow melts away. so much F***** salt on roads that were never full of snow but they toss it around anyways. It spatters all over the car. blech. I am not driving this time until like it goes away or I have to. Taxi's are cheap. Yes obsessive but at least It doesnt undo 5 hours worth of work. Its covered in snow right now but I just gave it a decent detail sunday evening at 37 degrees. I wish there was pouring rain, that wouldnt be a tenth as bad as suv's and trucks spattering crap all oever the the place.

blech.
