that is just like the nozzel I use. Got it when i used to work at brookstone, same price...minus my discount

I use an easy on off switch, found in most garden areas, so i dont have to adjust the spray pattern every time.

^^ cool. i think im going to water the grass while im working on the
soap bucket.

i was looking at Griot's "economy" hose nozzle and looked at the
Sear's nozzle and could not tell the difference other than the
rubber molding... i think it's by the same company and probably
the same model. both aluminum with rubber surround. wat do
you think?

It's what I use. Got one at Wally World. I think it's called a fireman's nozzle.

Get the one from Sears. This is the same one sold under the name - The Ultimate Hose Nozzle, sold at other stores. It's the only one I've ever used that's wrth a darn. Griot's originally sold these for $35 - not sure what they cost now.

Just yesterday I just got the similar Ultimate Stainless Steel Hose Nozzle from Autopia as well. I was gonna just get the cheaper aluminum version but what the heck. I tried it quickly last night and it sure is very nice. It feels so heavy and solid, I think I could use it as a weapon. :D But I agree I would like to add a quick on/off so I can keep it at the desired setting.

^^ yah, i tried my sears one over the weekend to wash my Legacy
and Civic. it's nice to use good tools. make the work so much easier.

now, i think the higher-end ones are actually better in terms of how the
water sprays. it might be just water pressure, but the shower mode on
mine was not as clean as ive seen on higher end nozels.

im running a 5/8 dia water hose... but the supply hose from the faucet to
the reel is 1/2.... could that be the issue (bottle neck)?
shouldn't matter, right?

Do these have a good amount of water pressure? I'd like one that really sprays hard! (that doesn't sound right) I bought a similar one at Home Depot and it was terrible. I might as well have squirted the water from my mouth!

the Sears one does, but the pattern is not as clean as the ones
ive seen in the past (the higher end ones). so im thinking there is
some difference between the cheepo (mine) and something like
those $75 nozzles...other than just looking nice and pretty.

Can you (or anyone else) recommend a specific on/off switch that doesn't restrict flow but is quick to engage?

Talking about hose nozzles.....

I picked one up at Home Depot a couple of years ago and it had a lead warning! makes you think twice about getting water from the hose on a hot day.

^ dang... they need to recall those. the ones from our age is aluminum
or brass based with nickel coating (not hex chrome).
