Official: Show your wash/wax results thread

i'm not sure if someone posted a thread before, but i think it would be helpful to have a single thread where people can post pics to show off the results of specific products. i'll start it off. please post details of products used and which areas it covers.

Armor All Car Wash Concentrate - very generic would not recommend
Armor All Wheel Cleaner - very good cleaner; was able to get all the brake dust off
Armor All Tire Foam - does not last very long; very messy. will try gel next time
Black Magic Clay Bar - worked great
NXT Tech Wax Paste - nicest wax i have tried so far (haven't tried many), but durability is very low on it.
Glass Plus Streak Free Window Cleaner - pure crap...streak free my ****!
Peanut Oil to cleanup the wax buildup on the black molding - works like a charm

Looks great. Here is a not-so-great photo that I took after my last detail. All NXT stuff with the exception of a Black Magic clay bar. I like the entire NXT line with the exception of the wax.

shukes24- there's very high probability that i will be doing the Legacy
today 7/22, if you'd like to swing by in the mid- afternoon.

I used:
Meguiar's GoldClass wash (good enough)
Griot's Paintprep (excellent)
Griot's Claybar (kinda sticky)
Griot's Polish2, 3 (P2 is a little weak for cutting, got P1 for next time)
Tap water in a sprayer (for roughly removing polish)
Griot's Best of Show wax (wow! 2 coats)
Griot's Window cleaner (good!)
Griot's SpeedShine (excellent!)
Meguiar's Rubber and Vinyl protectant for arches and grill (good)
Meguiar's NXT Tire Shine (this stuff is very thin, but easy to apply)
Meguiar's NXT Techwax (for wheels)
Meguair's NXT detailer (under the bonnet quick wiping)
Meguiar's Interior wipes (not bad)
Griot's boar's hair detailer's brush (around emblems, etc. good stuff)

pict by shukes24 (I redid the entire car from below since last
weekend, but can't tell the difference unless 1-2 ft away in real life,
so im reusing this pict)

Im going to follow up with Griot's SprayOn wax every now and then.

This is actually two weeks after waxing but just a few hours after a wash (and the tires are not done).
All Zaino stuff.

Here is from last weekend. Not completely swirl free but trying to get there.

What's done:
1. Wash and clay bar
2. PC with Meguiar's M80 speed glaze
3. Zaino with z5pro and 2 coats of z2
4. Glass polish with z12 followed by the above
5. wheels with zaino followed by Michelin Brake Dust Repellent
6. Trim with 303 SP and stoner's trim spray for the front grille. used the 303 on my tires since I'm out of my usual stuff
7. 303 AP on all the vinyl and plastic interior
8. engine with damp cloth of simple green. occasional spray of the stoner trim spray (I need to find a radiator comb for those high speed bug impacts)
9. wheel wells with simple green and some scrubbing
uhh... I think that's about it

It's kind of an odd angle but I had the hood up and I took a shot looking down the driver's side roofline towards the open hood. There are some pretty interesting reflections going on there... including the dust on my lens right center

This is not my MINI, but one I detailed several weeks ago!

The owner is drdave113. I do not think he posts very often though.

Edit:

I forgot to state the process:

Meguiars Gold Class Wash
Meguiars #80 with PC Speed 6
Meguiars NXT Tech Wax with PC Speed 3
Tires and Trim dressed with Meguiars Hyper Dressing

What a fun thread! I found some more pics!

This is Jango, immediately after his first wash / clay / wash / polish / polish / Z2 / Z2

I love Pepper White on my MINI, but the darker colors really show off a well-kept finish!

The trees over my driveway (and a well polished sunroof):

Haha thanks!

Yeah, I detailed both loaner cars---I think they spanned atleast 6 months apart. As I recall the Hyperblue was my first loaner, and the MCS was the 2nd loaner I did. Everyone at the dealer rental place was talking when they heard I was taking their dirty MCS for the day.

It was fun. LOL.

PC speed 3 = Porter Cable Dual-Action Polisher set at 3000 Revolutions per Minute

My wife just got her new 'whip'... a black Cadillac STS. It's huge and has lots of flat body panels. It should look great after a claybar, some polishing and a few coats of Z2. It might even warrant a carnuba topper! Unfortunately, it will be several weeks as it just had some body work done...
