Cleaning the Key
Cleaning the Key
I did a search and couldn't find anything on this. I am just wondering if anybody has any tips on cleaning between the buttons on they key? I may be a little uptight but I would like to get rid of the lint and dirt that has collected in the grooves and I didn't figure any moisture was good for it.
go to your dentist... and see if you can buy or if they will give ya a dental cleaning thingy (the pick thingy)... and use that... they sell them for guns and stuff which is how i have a few but... they fit in their easy....just be careful not to scratch the plastic

vacuum cleaner
just vacuum it.
If it makes you feel better, some of the gunk accumulating in there is dead skin cells . . . .
Also, you can buy "dental" tools at places like Home Depot as well--they just aren't made out of surgical quality stainless steel. Hobby shops also have them.

I didn't realize how infinitely useful those little picks are, until I got one!
I rotate between my 2 keys every few months, in a senseless just for the heck of it ritualistic way... I always clean up the key that I'm temporarily retiring, before I stow it.
