leatherette crack
gotta love cloth!

each seat material has advantages and disadvantages.
personally i prefer leather because you can clean and condition it and it will stay nice for decades but it has a higher initial cost.
cloth stains the easiest and eventually dry rots, tears or splits but breathes better than leather or vinyl.
vinyl wrinkles then peels and cracks as it ages or on creases that get a lot of wear and you really can't do much about it. it is plastic but costs less than leather.
...Nice comeback btw... You would think that someone with 10k posts obviously has spare time on their hands... I would guess they just aren't managing that time very well

Here's a female perspective on cloth seats... If I'm wearing a skirt (particularly a short-type suit skirt), I despise cloth seats because they catch the skirt fabric and make the skirt twist around as I get in and out of the car!
This is seriously the biggest single factor as to why I don't have cloth seats. Yes, goofy, but true!
Sorry... I know there are probably more guys than girls on this board, but I couldn't help but complain when the cloth seat topic came up!

Umm,... we'll need to see photographic evidence of this before we can decide to agree or disagree

Yeah, yeah, yeah... as I hit "Submit Reply" I thought to myself that I probably just opened a can of worms!
No, you don't want to see a crooked, wrinkled skirt... believe me!

Either of you should test this in my car, we will try with your skirts on or your skirts off. I will take pics of both situations. I think we should do more studies like this in the future.
I noticed something about vinyl and rubber treatment from Griot's. I think it hardens the plastic and rubber. IS that my imagination? I was thinking if it does that that would make it bad for wear and tear as it would remove the squishiness of the material. I might be off based though.
