Hello... I just finished waxing my MCS with Meguires Tech-wax. I have to say it was pretty easy and I like the results. (I'd do the Zaino, but don't have the time or desire for that level of finish)

Question: how do I detail my factory bonnet strips? I noticed that they seem to have a few darker bands where wax hit them. Tips and products ideas? Must be quick and easy though!!

My installer said to just wax them, like the car, but I'd probably use an all clear 100% carnauba. I've also used 303, a water-based protectant and that has worked well for me. Basically, you just want to protect them from the harsh UV rays so that they don't dry out and get brittle. Stripes should last for years and years if you take care of them. Your paint will fade a bit, but not under the stripes.

 

That's kinda what I figured. I did wax them. I do notice a lot of darker spots where the wax has been. Funny though, I waxed the whole strip but only parts are a blacker, black...
