Touchless car wash question

Does anyone know if a touchless car wash would strip my Zaino off of my MCS? I have only hand washed it for the last year, but I am getting worried about the de-icer the local road dept is spraying on the road damaging the under body of my MCS.

No, touchless washes will not hurt your Zaino finish. They use some pretty harsh detergents, but you will be ok.

I suggest you quick detail with Z6 on occassion. This will help boost the shine and add a little protection between washes.

I went over the Zaino on our CR-V with a coat of Collinite 476. As a winter wax it's awesome. Numerous washed including touchless...I too loath the Mag Chloride...and the Collinite is holding up like a champ.

Just a thought.

I concur.

The Zaino will hold up fairly well (though probably not as well as just hand-washing) and it's much better to get the salt and road grime off your finish if that is the only option available.

I agree, you figure the salt/deice on the roads is doing more damage to your wax and finish than just a touchless wash. So go with the touchless wash.

I will use the wash to losen up the muck, then zoom home with out drying to get the Cooper in the garage. There I can finish the spots the wash misses (the boot) and dry her myself. Perfect setup for another coat of wax!
