PPF or Ceramic Coat?
PPF or Ceramic Coat?
I'm torn between having my car done with PPF or ceramic coating. My car is a daily driver, and is kept outside all year. My budget is only $1300. I'm interested in getting all your opinions.
Depends on your end goal... Ceramic coating will not prevent rock chips, but will help with swirl marks from washings. PPF will be more expensive, but will keep the paint looking newer for much longer.
PPF, I have a few of my cars completely wrapped (full body) in PPF and the rest of them are full front/rockers, etc...
I typically do ceramic coating on top as well but you're comparing two different things. I would definitely do PPF as without ceramic coating, a good detail once a year will still keep the car looking good for a long time.
Ceramic requires maintenance too, so it's not bomb proof.

Just keep in mind, PPF = protection from rocks and what not on the front end
Ceramic = swirl/light abrasion protection on the car, but even the best ceramic, will still swirl, scratch, etc...PPF has a stronger degree of protection and ceramic has zero ability to protect from chips.
If you get PPF at least you can still get a nice detail once or twice a year and your car will look good without any rock chips.
