What are you thankful for?

It's getting to be that time of year. I'm just curious what everyone is thankful for?

I am thankful, that my husband is not in Iraq this year. I am thankful for my son, my husband, my family and my friends in my life. Thankful, that I have a home to be in, and a decent job. Last but not least.. I am thankful for my mini!

I am thankful for a wonderful family, especially my wife. She supports my habit of expensive toys. She also bought me tickets for last night's Evanescence concert. So, I got to enjoy my favorite band, my favorite toy (my MINI, of course) and the company of a very special and caring person all in the same night.

I'm thankful for My parents being able to afford me a new Mini S even though I didn't deserve it , I'm thankful to be alive I just lost a cousin a day after my sisters birthday he was only 22 and he died in a horrible accident (got trapped in his car and well it caught fire. People tried to get him out but it was too hot) DPS said that it was the worst accident they had ever seen . I'm thankful for every waking moment now.........

Shoot, all y'all are getting all philosophical and stuff.

I'm just happy to be able to redline 6th gear on the autobahn every once in a blue moon....

I'm thankful to have attended MITM earlier this year, where I met someone who has become a very special part of my life.

Let's go with: "I'm thankful for family, friends, and life," so as not to sound shallow. But who said my MINI is not family?

I am thankful for someone who has laid down his life for me even though I didn't deserve it and especially didn't earn it;
for someone who constantly fogives my errors, my selfishness, my self-centeredness and allows me to grow from that point;
for someone who has wisdom in all matters beyond anyone's experience or depth and allows me to spend time in His presence;
for my loving family that I have been purposely placed in;
for someone who makes ALL material possessions meaningless in the light of His love and concern for me and teaches me to be a better steward with what I have...(see #3 above, MINI included )

I wish everyone a season of safety and introspection on what is important in life as illustrated by the experiences of lilruffcat and Green Goblin. We are all here for a purpose.

Abraham Lincoln was cool

Did you totaly rip off Honest Abe? I agree he was cool, but it seems out of place in your post.

My wife, for sharing her life with me, and letting me be a part of it.

Everything!

But, I think I'm most thankful for a device called a Vagus Nerve Stimulator (VNS). It's an implant with a wire around a nerve in my throat and a battery in my chest. I got it for lifelong depression which was unresponsive to medications, and so severe that I've been hospitalized multiple times (and worse--many shock treatments). It's been 2 years depression-free, and it is like a new life for me!

Wow, thats fantastic, I'm glad for you

Like others have said, I'm thankful for tons of things, too many to list, and grateful every day.

I'm thankful for lots of things...my family, my friends, the love of my life, a great job with a good boss....living in a place that I love where the leaves change into gorgeous colors....that it's football season...that I wasn't hurt in the accident that totaled my beloved Mini a couple of weeks ago.....and that the insurance company stepped up and is giving me enough to replace her with another beloved Mini! (I'll be even more thankful if the replacement Mini comes quickly!)

Aside from being thankful for the life God has given me and all that goes with it, I'm greatful on a more intermediate note because I discovered a tire going flat before I got too far from home this morning and I was able to make it back before it was down on the rim.
