Good thing Roxy is already out of warranty...

She's got enough coats of this stuff to almost be bulletproof!

I use the NXT wax -- great results. Just had the car in a show and it sat next to an MC40 from a dealer. My car's finish looked just as good as that new one and maybe a tad bit better. Here's a larger version of my sig pic.

Careful, NXT and nitrous may not mix.

I am not sure in the NXT spray stuff is really a quick detailer. It calls itself a wax booster. It acts more like a diluted wax product. Since you have to wait for it to haze over then buff, it really isn't a quick detailer. I prefer Mothers or Zaino quick detailer for quick on the spot shine.

You can't beat the cinnamon smell of Mothers

Yes, I have voided my warranty
It's called Quik Detailer. Find it at Autozone or Pepboys. I buy the 24OZ for $4.99. Just spray it on, and wipe it off! I buy 3 or 4 bottles at a time.

I was running out of Zaino and bought some Mcguies Gold class which was Ok but not the show winning shine of Zaino. the NXT was sitting right there and I didn't buy it. From what I hear from you guys I may have made a mistake! but I did get lucky and won the Zaino raffle at last Saturday's Metroplex Mini club meeting. Now that I am fully stocked up again I will continue to use the Zaino. I used to show a car and when I really noticed the Zaino difference was at indoor shows under the lights. While other brands looked good most of the time, they looked awful at an indoor show because the even the tiniest swirl marks look like your car has been keyed under the unforgiving lights.

That's correct about the NXT wax booster! I think what Richard (Octane Guy) was referring to Quick Detailer, which is not part of NXT line.

I need some of the stuff in the red bottle still.

Yes, layering the NXT wax works too.

NXT and Gold Class are not even similar.

NXT is more closely related to Zaino than Gold Class which has been around forever. Try NXT, it's much cheaper than Zaino.

It depends on a variety of factors, but you can probably expect it to last 3 to 6 months. I dunno, nor care, cause I apply NXT Tech wax about once every 2 months. I do some NXT Spray Wax on the bonnet just cause I like it shiny, and I do Quik Detailer every day. I know once a month is too often for many people. I use a PCDA to apply. Makes it really easy, and fun.

Mike Phillips from Meguiars using the PCDA on my MINI while I videotape.

I just put another coat of NXT on my car and I got to wondering, the "wax" is so easy to put on and take off why would you use the wax booster?

I agree! I didn't even buy the wax booster. On the other hand, the Quick Detailer is wonderful for light cleaning. Meguiar does make excellent products for our beloved MINIs. Best of all, I can buy it locally from the stores.

Just finished applying another coat of the NXT myself , seems like it's the thing to do on a Friday night. Took about 20 minutes to apply and remove, that's what I like, quick and easy.

The best part about Meguiars Quick Detailer is that you can use it after a drive to bring the shine back. It lifts and removes, dust, light dirt and pollen. Can't see how the wax booster would do the that, since it has to dry and haze before removing. Seems that its just a quick way to wax after washing.

Speaking about washing - just tried the Mr. Clean Autodry system. Very nice! We're on well water here and in the past I had to keep the car wet right up to the point where I was ready to start drying. It's amazing to watch the filtered water begin to flow down the side of the car, without leaving spot one. What will I do with all the free time I now have?

Masking tape on BRG

Is the trim on the BRG in the background masked off to keep product off?
Never thought of that.

You use it to quickly apply another coat of wax....let's say you've got a big meet or event to go to, or possibly a hot date...a few squirts of spray wax and about 20 minutes later your baby is super shiny and ready to go! :D

At least that's what I use it for

Thats a good question. How many people mask off the various parts of their MINI before waxing?

I mask mine.

Yep! It's to keep from having to use a toothbrush to remove NXT from all the crevices and off the trim area. It's just regular old painters masking tape. Takes some time to fully mask off the car, but it's worth it. Fortunately our cars are pretty flat in most areas, so not too difficult. Masking is a good idea, but I get lazy, and just use my PCDA without masking. You can see lots of little white specs if you look closely, like in the grill on my bonnet!

Mike Phillips philosophy is spend as much time detailing the car, not detailing to remove your mistakes--not in those exact words of course.

It's been 3 or 4 days since I used the peanut butter on my trim to get my slip ups off. And looks like it worked wonders. I don't have to go over it again.

A little dab on your finger, wipe it on, light scrubbing with your finger, wipe off with a clean towel.

This isn't wax booster but a plastic, rubber and vinyl protectant. If you've got good eyes you can see that right on the label (right under the word 'Protectant'). Don't go using the stuff in this bottle on your wax!!! There is another product in a similar bottle called NXT Spray Wax or something like that. I think that's the one you meant to show.

I apply NXT Tech Wax by hand with a round foam applicator. I don't mask off the plastic. If I used an orbital buffer I would mask, but applying by hand gives me a bit more control. Masking takes up the time that the orbital buffer saves, so applying by hand really doesn't take any longer than using a buffer. You might get slightly better shine with a buffer, but if you're not entering any competitions, it won't make that much of a noticeable difference.

When I get a little on the plastic trim, I just wipe it off right away and that seems to do the trick (don't let it dry). I also like to use Meguiar's Gold Class Trim Detailer on all the black bits. I like the Gold Class better than the NXT Protectant for trim. They both cover up a multitude of sins if you get wax on your trim. I have to use it anyway since I discovered that a DEALER left a huge splotch of wax on my trim after I'd had some paint work done.

I actually spent time making it into a training DVD which will be for sale on NAM when Mark gets back from his vacation (gotta fund all my equipment expenditures for making these DVD's!). But I'll post some video clip teasers in the mean time.

This I gotta agree! I sprayed some on, one late evening, thinking I was using the spray wax!!! The bottles look identical. But when I was putting it on, I was like, "Hmmm, this doesn't feel right. I don't remember it being so runny"
I got the bonnet covered and then I read the bottle!!!

No harm done, just a bit of a mess!
