Microfiber towels & fabric softener
My 2 microfiber towels accidentally got washed with all of our other towels. So this means there was fabric softener in the load. I remember that its packaging said something about NOT using fabric softener.
Why is it bad? Can I get it out if I wash them again without softener? What should I do? They aren't exactly cheap.
Thanks.

tazz,
Fabric softeners load up the microfibers causing them to lose their ability to absorb water and other liquids. The easy way to get rig of the fabric softener is to put them back in the wash and add a couple cups of white vinegar to the rinse water. The acid in the vinegar will disolve the softener.

I just bought twelve large microfiber towels at Costco for less than $10. They are nice and large and I was thrilled that the price on them has come way down. I know some people swear by some more expensive towels, but these seem great and I love having so many of them. . . .
