Help buffing out/repairing a scratch left door sill
Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and a VERY happy owner of a new 2013 R60 Countryman
I love the car! Drives great, looks great.. very very happy.
Here's an introduction photo of my car:

Anyhow, I just noticed today that somewhere along the road I got a nasty scratch on the plastic sill on the driver side door (I believe it's PN 51779801888). Anyhow, the piece runs $350.00 which I don't think is worth replacing for that sort of thing especially since I'm considering the aero kit down the road. Nonetheless the scratch annoys me.. does anyone have any tips/tricks/recommendations to "buff" it out. I thought about just not looking at it and it's not an option
Thanks again!!
The scratch!

By the way, any suggestions for tweaks here and there are most welcome! I'm new to the world of Mini and from what I read on here the possibilities are endless!!

is that scratch on your sill in the paint? i only ask because from the pic it looks like a rub on scratch, which means itll wax right off. but if its in the paint, like you feel it, a bottle of touch up paint will cover nicely till to get your kit.
That is in the textured plastic. Any work you do to it will show up worse than the wound. Consider it a battle ribbon resulting from the joys of MINI motoring. The only other solution is to replace to panel.
@minilse I've decided to take the advice of the good people on this forum and just move on and consider it a battle scar
. I do have to agree that the more i thought about it, since it is on the textured plastic, the more i agreed that I would prob make it worse and it really isn't very noticeable unless you're looking at the sill.
