Can this or will this end the clay bar? - NanoSkin AutoScrub

NANOSKIN Autoscrub 6 inch Pad - Better and Faster than Claying

Wow is all I can say about this new tool and new technology. I believe this will change the way most pro detailers and DIYers will prep their cars. This is truly a time saver and will pay for itself after a couple detail jobs. We have spent in some cases 1-2 hours claying and prepping a midsize sedan (in rough shape) we recently tested the AutoScrub on an Audi S8 and we were finished in about 15 minutes! You really won't believe this until you try it yourself. The AutoScrub will make you leave your clay bar behind.

NANOSKIN AutoScrub works fast and achieves professional results with the new advanced rubber polymer technology, which replaces the use of clay bars.

A dual action orbital polisher is required. AutoScrub will safely and easily removes paint over spray, water spots, tree sap, rail dust and other bonded surface contaminants from the surface of automotive paint, glass, moldings and plastic.

AutoScrub works great with your favorite detail spray or clay lubricant. Unlike the clay bar, the AutoScrub can be cleaned by simply rinsing off the accumulated contaminates with water. If you drop the AutoScrub on the ground, no worries, just rinse the sponge pad clean and you're ready to keep using it.

AutoScrub allows for sturdy and controlled handling, unlike clay bars where constant reshaping is required.

Features
- Lasts up to 4 times longer than clay bars
- Glides on & off easily for a slick finish
- If inadvertently dropped on shop floor, simply rinse clean
- Up to 50-60 uses before you need to replace it

Directions
1. Thoroughly wash vehicle free of dust, sand, and dirt.
2. Mist sufficient detail spray or clay lubricant onto the surface evenly.
3. Polish the surface with dual action orbital polisher using light pressure (Low Speed).
4. Wipe off residue and move on to compound and polishing or even go straight to your last step.

Important tips:
- Sufficient lubrication is crucial to the AUTOSCRUB application.
- DO NOT use water
- DO NOT use with rotary polisher.

Take a look at the 3 offers we have. Pre Order Pricing is in effect, we should have the first wave by Friday.

I have had some clearcoat overspray on my windshield for quite some time now. I have used aggressive clay to take it off the bodywork but I cannot get it off the windshield. I have tried fine steel wool on the windshield as well to no avail. Do you think this product would work better?

Is the 3" kit a hand polish only and the 6" for a rotary? Which do you prefer if I am only doing my car?

Thanks,

-Z

When I bought the car, it was coated from to front to back with it. The dealership was going through a remodel and it was either from the nearby "outdoor" spray booth or the construction site. I didn't notice this until I was driving the car home (from out of state, 5 hour drive) and the sun was setting in front of me and the sun reflecting on the windshield made it almost impossible to see out of. When I got it home I clayed the entire car and windshield. I got about 90% of it off the windshield and all of it off the bodywork. There are still some stubborn places I need to attack, mostly on the windshield and sunroof.

I've registered at Detailer's Domain, but I did have 1 question before I ordered Nano Skin, you don't sell the 3" Pads separate? I already have a 3" Foam Pad Holder. Also what is the difference between the "Fine" 6" Nano Skin Pad and the 6" Nano Skin Pad?

This one doesn't say "Fine"

sorry we only have them in the kit for the 3 inch pads.

as for the original and the fine, the fine is less aggressive. we should have the fine autoscrub pad in stock in a couple of weeks it has not been launched yet.

Water isn't a lubricant, it is really considered a solvent and could create more friction than you want between the surfaces. You don't even use water with clay.

deflate you are correct.

as well the lubricant will encapsulate the contaminants coming off the surface.

I think the thing I'm most happy about (product shipped today) is, showing my Husband how to clean his own car without me having to go behind him and notice all of the "missed" spots!!

AND Clearbra edges won't have to be de-gunked with a Q-tip!!

@Phil...another question, my Husband's 2010 Kia Soul Shadow Dragon SE#3 has a Textured Dragon Decal on it, I'm hoping the Pre-Wow will help clean that prior to a Black Wow application, but I'm worried that the Brush will be to harsh on the Decal, what else would you recommend I use?

I see that this system is appropriate for plastic moldings too. Might that mean the easier answer to the old problem of light colored waxes embedded in MINIs plastic trim border?
A physical equivalent to Pre - Wow chemistry?

I would say don't use the autoscrub on the black trim.

One issue I have with using clay bars is that they are useless when the car surface is heated up at all (the clay sticks to surface). Being that I live in Arizona and have a carport (no enclosed garage) this requires I clay the car only in the winter, or wee early hours of the morning. During the hot summer months it's generally too warm at any time of day.

I would imagine this is not an issue with these pads ... ?

Resurrecting thread to say...OMG!!

I started last night by giving Molly a bath with Griot's Car Wash, then with the 3" Pad and holder I did the back, sides, and front windows...Wow!!

Super easy to use and noticable results for sure.

Then this morning I couldn't wait to get up and get back at it...when have you ever said that about having to do a Clay Job on your car?? I haven't!!

Anyway, just finished the Sunroof and had to come in and post this, it's smoth as a Baby's Butt...I'm not kidding. I had had some dried on overspray of some product I had used on the Sunroof, do not know what it was, but I do know it had been on there for years, that and all of the other contaminents that have adhered to the glass since claying last...at least a couple years ago...ARE GONE!!

Great product, super easy to use and well worth the $$!!

Thanks Phill!!
