I'm so overwhelmed! I didn't even know what clay was. Watching claying 101 now. I've always had my car washed (and not nearly frequently enough!) but am ready for the next step. Can anyone recommend any other threads for me to read? I don't and won't have a polisher so everything will be done by hand. I also don't have much money to spend but can buy a little at a time. Thanks for all the info. You guys are great!

 

I think both of those Threads are great if you are not going to go OCD, I am BTW, but when all is said and done it is what YOU are happy with doing or not doing and also spending what you can and not go over "your" budget, so with that in mind, if you are just wanting to wash your MINI there are a wealth of products out there...I know personally I used to use Turtle Wax ICE as a washing agent, that is until I found Griot's Garage and now that is my Product Line of choice. Prima is a big product a lot of people on NAM use as well, I still have some Prima products too, but don't use them much anymore.

Like I said it is a very personal thing on how you want your MINI to look and the $$ you want to fork out to get that look, there is no right or wrong, if you start out with something and don't like it you can always go to something else.

I ended up Doing some some Meguiar's car wash, the mother's clay kit with the instant detail right now and some tire cleaner. I will start adding prima as I go but that was what I could afford for right now and the mini seems better off for it. I wish someone that had prima and didn't use it had it for sale. Is there a marketplace on here for selling and swapping? I'll take a look. Anyhoo thanks for responding.

 

Have used Mequire's as well, I think with each vehicle I seem to have upgraded Product Lines.

What works *for now*. I'm OCD in every other aspect of my life. Dont see why this would be any different

 

I "used" to be 'til I met my Husband, then everything except for my MINI has fallen by the way side...oh well...at least I have control over 1 thing!!
