warm soapy water is where I'd go
- lots of warm soapy water
you need to soften the sap
then don't park there anymore
(owned several converts since 1972 . . . if it needed to be cleaned off I've probably been there)
unfortunately the cloth top allows much more soak-in then a vinl' top . . . but warm soapy water is your friend and a very soft bristle brush

Get a towel, get it damp, then microwave it till it's very warm, but you can still hold it. Then put it on the sap, it will soften, & you will be able to remove the sap with it.
Yes, it will take some time, & is a bit of a PITA, but you are not using any solvents that can damage the ragtop.
