911! Allergic reaction to upholestry cleaner - how to remove?

So I had my cloth seats cleaned by a pro - look okay, but darn they smell like the cleaner. I have an *extremely* sensitive nose. I've had the cab top down airing outside in 70 degree weather for 3 days, and I can still smell the "soap smell" walking a foot away from the car. (I can also smell a slow gas leak across the street)

what is the BEST way to get this nastiness out of the upholestry? Please recommend methods and/or vendors in San Francisco or marin county.

thanks!

nose plugs very easy very effective.

i think you're going to have to get the interior re-done using only water and
shopvac. the more detergents you use, the werder the smell gets.

Yep, soaps are really unnecessary. Extractors are the holy grail for detail shops. We just need hot water to clean the interiors, we shoot the water in to break down the dirt and grease, and suck it right back up and out without the needs for detergents.

Don't know if it will help with Detergent, but with Smoker's Cars' a Cup of White Vinegar left in the car overnight will remove the Smoke smell!!

Good Luck!!
